Even though electric skateboards will come down in price as we expect, why don’t you buy a 2kg longboard instead of 7kg for just €50? For some people that longboard is all they need. But electric skateboards have some major advantages:

break: Going up hills is easy with an e-board. But braking with a longboard takes a lot of skill. Also, if you are driving near people, the electric board will give you more control over your speed and you also have an emergency brake.

Traffic Tracking: If you ride on a bike path or street, you can better track the flow of other bikes and cars with an electric skateboard.
