Ball valve

Swing check valves are good for keeping the pump running when the power is off. They prevent water from passing through the filter into the pool. They are available in many sizes and are of various types.

Butterfly valve

These are one of the widely used types. It consists of a circular plate having the diameter of the rod. The name ‘Butterfly Valve’ is due to its appearance. It only rotates 90 degrees. This means it can flow as much as possible without completely blocking the flow of whatever is in its pipe. There are different types of butterfly valves, each suited to different pressures and different uses.
