A well-designed natural garden waterfall looks and feels amazing. Designing a garden waterfall is easy to get wrong. Creating a functional and aesthetic garden waterfall is easy if you follow certain principles to create your garden waterfall.

These are pools or ponds where the water falls and slopes where the cascading water actually flows through the falls on its way to the pond. The slope behind the pool must be a high structure. River rocks that are flat are already worn by water and are best for man-made waterfalls. But not all river flats are applicable. A good one should have a slightly concave top surface that slopes downwards at the front and at an angle downwards, and a slightly convex bottom surface near the front edge. Water performs best on this stone as it reaches the edge, it quickly flows down the face and falls directly into the pool instead of going back, to the side or under it. This happens on any type of rock, especially when the water is flowing lightly. It is best to choose the right size and shape for your garden waterfalls from reputable stone yards. A natural waterfall effect is achieved by using weathered stones.

Arrangement of Stones: It is best to see and observe existing natural waterfalls or man-made waterfalls in botanical gardens or photos. Place the stones from the bottom to the top of the waterfall, checking the effect after each stone is placed. With a series of flat slabs the stone must appear level with one descending, the stone below projecting further than the stone above. This is the best way to do it. A forward leaning waterfall is not good to see as the rocks are too steep to ensure good flow into the pool. Large boulders attached to the sides of the waterfall support and help the water trickle down. Small rocks are always part of a natural waterfall; Place smaller round rocks of different sizes next to the larger ones to cover the gaps and your construction is complete.

Managing size and flow: The size of both the waterfall and the pond must be proportional to each other. The amount of water released into the pond should be proportional to the size of the pond. If there is a lot of water flowing in a small pond, it will look uneven. However, a large pond with a small flow of water is acceptable.
